DAY 1: CUSCO -PAUCARTAMBO
Early in the morning to a place called HUANCARANI and from there take the road to QOLQUEPATA as far as MICCA. That’s where we’ll start our free ride that will take us to PAUCARTAMBO. There are loads of single tracks, with relatively gentle descents where we’ll build up speed. It is a very fluid ride. The trip takes about 4 hours with breaks to rest and rehydrate with sports drinks. A while before sunset we will arrive at Inkawasi Lodge, where we can participate in some of their activities. The Lodge was set up by our Foundation Inka in order to help under-priveledged kids
DAY 2 : PAUCARTAMBO - CUSCO
We will start the day very early with a delicious and nutricious breakfast. As we witness the start of the new day, we’ll head on our way to KELKAYCUNKA .(4200.masl) , which is where we will begin our DH Extreme. We will warm up, go over our equipment, and start the descent slowly until we get our rhythm. The descent is very exciting. There is a great adrenaline rush as we build up speed It gets faster and faster. Definitely it is a route for real riders. The time of descent depends on how good a rider you are. The level of difficulty is IV. It is about a 3 hour ride. We will finish up the ride at the Vilcanota River, where we’ll catch our transport back to the Imperial City

DIY 1:
ARRIVAL IN LIMA:
We’ll pick you up at the airport in Lima and take you to a beautiful hotel with a view of the sea in the Miraflores. You can relax and ready the bicycles for the Downhill run that starts the next day.
DAY 2:
LIMA – PACHACAMAC 1500m.s.n.m. (CENTRO ARQUEOLOGICO) –EL PRADO1200m.s.n.m.
We will start out from Lima headed south toward the Pachacamac Archeological Site, located in the Pachacamac district. We will go up the hill there and make 3 runs down along different tracks. Each downhill run takes about an hour, descending from 1000 meters. At around 4:00pm, we will return to our hotel.
DAY 3:
LIMA 50m.s.n.m. –OYEROS 2800m.s.n.m.–EL MORRO SOLAR 700 m.s.n.m
After a good breakfast at our hotel, we will head east out of town on the main highway, until we arrive at 2 hours later at a pass in the mountains at 4200masl. From there we’ll ride downhill for 3 hours along the old highway to the Pacific Ocean. We will finish up with a sweet downhill run in the Chorillos district called the El Morro Solar. We wind up right on the beach, then head on back to our hotel.
DAY 4:
LIMA –CUSCO3300m.s.n.m.-MONTANA SACSAYHUAMAN 3700ms.n.m.
The 45 minute flight up to Cusco takes you to the Jorge Chavez Airport, and from there it is only 10 minutes into town. Cusco is at an altitude of 3250masl. In the afternoon we’ll go up to the ancient Incan Fortess of Sacasayhuaman, and ride down along the old Inca trails to the old city, passing by Incan ruins, colonial churches, and the San Blas neighborhood, which is known as the artists’ neighborhood
DAY 5:
CUSCO 3300m.s.n.m.–MARAS MORAY 3600m.s.n.m.- RIO VILCANOTA 2800m.s.n.m.–
PATACANCHA 3600m.s.n.m.-OLLANTAYTAMBO2700m.s.n.n.m.
Breakfast is at 7:00am and at 8:00 we will head out to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The first stop is Chincheros, where we will visit the Incan Archeological site, and start riding our 1st downhill run of the day toward the Vilcanota River, ending up at the town of Urquillos at an altitude of 2700masl. The ride takes about an hour. The views are spectacular. Our second run starts on Aywayro Mtn., at 3950masl. It takes us through the town of Maras, the ruins of Moray, and right down into the Sacred Valley along the old mule trails. We’ll arrive at Devil’s Curve in about an hour. Then it is into the old village of Ollantaytambo, where we will visit the massive Incan ruins there. Later it is up the village of Patacancha, from which we will ride downhill for about an hour, back into Ollantaytambo, where we have our hotel and can relax for the night.
DAY 6:
OLLANTAYTAMBO2700m.s.n.m AGUAS CALIENTES PUEBLO 2400m.s.n.m. MACHUPICCHU 2600m.s.n.m.
We will take the 5:00am train from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu Pueblo. It is a 2 hour train ride. Then we will go up the mountain and see the magnificent Archeological site. The bus ride up takes 15 minutes. We can climb Huayna Picchu Mtn., and explore the ruins complex. We’ll spend the night at our hotel in Machu Picchu Pueblo ( Aguas Calientes), and if you like you can soak in the hot springs there.
DAY 7:
MACHUPICCHU PUEBLO 2400 m.s.n.m.-OLLANTAYTAMBO 2700 m.s.n.m.– ABRA MALAGA 4600m.s.n.m. -LARES 4650m.s.n.m.–PISAQ 2850 m.s.n.m.
Our train leaves Aguas Calintes at 6:00am. It arrives at Ollantaytambo at 8:00am, where our equipment and private transportation will be waiting. We head up to the Malaga Pass, where we will start our downhill run to the town of Tankac at 2670masl. The 22 klick ride usually takes about an hour. The next downhill run is from the town of Lares or the Amparaes Pass( 4600masl) down into the town of Calca(2800masl), and into Pisac along the river. From Pisac we will head up onto the mountain where the Potato Park and museum is, and make our last downhill run of the day back into Pisac and our hotel.
DAY 8:
PISAQ 2850m.s.n.m.- PAUCARTAMBO2900 m.s.n.m- COMUNIDAD TINTEC 4500 –TRES CRUCES 3900m.s.n.m.
We will start out at 7:00am from Pisac toward Paucartambo. We will arrive at the village of the Sipas Cancha (4200masl ) in about an hour, and that’s where we’ll start our downhill run beautiful country district of Colquepata, until we arrive at the Quenqomayo River(3000masl ). From there our bus will take us up to the Tintec community (4000masl), and we’ll keep going up to the pass at 4200masl. From there we’ll ride the old Incan roadway down into Paucartambo (2800masl.) We will have lunch at Inkawasi. Then we’ll head up to the overlook at 3 Cruces, where there is a downhill run to take if you like. And that is where we will camp for the night.
DAY 9:
TRES CRUCES 3900 m.s.n.m.-SAN PEDRO 1700 m.s.n.m.–BOSQUE NUBLADO –PILCOPATA 600msnm
We head out after breakfast at 8:00am. We will start riding at Aj Anaco Mtn. at 3800masl. It is a 2 hour downhill run through the cloud forest where the vegetation is spectacular and where we should see a lot of wildlife. In a couple of hours we’ll reach the town of Pillahuata (1800masl), where we can bus it or ride along flat ground to Tupac Amaru. There we will board our rubber raft and run the Pilcopata River and the Alto Madre de Dios for 20 klm. And 2 hours until we reach the port of Atalaya (530 masl.) From here we will return to Pilcopata, where we will stay in our hotel. That night there will be an optional Ayahuasca ceremony, in which you are welcome to take part.
DAY 10:
PILCOPATA 600 m.s.n.m. PAUCARTAMBO 2900 m.s.n.m.-SAN SALVADOR PUEBLO 2800 m.s.n.m. TIRACANCHA 4400 m.s.n.m.-CUSCO 3250m.s.n.m.
We will start out at 7:00am, headed toward Paucartambo. We’ll go up to the community Tiracancha (4200masl.) From there we will make a downhill run on a rocky, verdant trail, ending up at a hacienda in the San Salvador district, on the Vilcanota River(2800masl.) It takes a couple of hours. Then we’ll jump on our bus and head back to Cusco.
DAY 11:
CUSCO 3250 m.s.n.m.–MONTAIN UANACAURY 4200 ms.n.m.-MONTAÑA DE PACHA TUSAN 4100 m.s.n.m.–MONTAIN SENCCA3800 m.s.n.m.
We’ll take off from our hotel at 8:00am. and go up Mount Huanacauri (4200 masl.) to Occoruro Pass, where we’ll start riding downhill for an hour and a half, until we reach the town of Sunco. The next run will be down Pachatusan Mountain. The run takes an hour and we’ll wind up in the Plaza of the town of San Jeronimo. Then we have one more run, up from the top of Mt. Sencca, passing by the old Incan sites of Tambomachay , the Temple of the Moon, and winding up in the plaza de Armas of Cusco.
